wave race screenDo you know MicroMachines? Then you also know Wave Race for GameBoy!
Unlike Wave Race for the N64 it is not "3D", but you control your waterbikes from a bird's eye view.

There are two different kinds of "racing": The Circuit - where you drive in several different locations. If you get enough points in this championship, you rise to a higher class (There are three classes: 550cc, 650cc and 800cc).

The Slalom - which is more chaotic. Here you must pass doors. The winner
is the one who passes most circuits. At Slalom there are also three
classes. And since this is a video-game, Nintendo added some specials
like e.g. barriers, wave currents, and things that help you in reloading
your turbo and much more.

Oh! I forgot to mention about the turbo? OK, you have turbo, it reloads automatically, so you can use it often, but if you try to use it when turbo is empty, your motor will stop, and you loose time, so be careful.

Wave Race can also be played with up to four players (with Nintendo's link box), and your highscores are saved, since this game has a built-in battery.
Verdict I am a big fan of MicroMachines. This game is good, but I like MicroMachines more. The courses could have been a bit better. Graphics
is also good, but the water really doesn't look like water in my opinion... But the game is fun, especially because you always try to beat your old highscore. If you have risen to a higher class, this is also saved. So why wait? Start playing it now!
