Summary
Gameplay

A bowling game that's the best by far on the GameBoy! There are 3 modes of play - Standard which is for 1 or 2 players, Tournament with which you compete against computer opponents and Training for practice throws.

In a Standard game, like all games, you can choose your player based on what power and technique capabilities he has. Heh! Heh! You can even select between a right-hander or a "south-paw". Then there's a configuration menu for lane wax condition and for sound on or off. And after all that is done, you'll start the game with a clear view of the pins at the end of the lane. Bowling is simple. Get your position, angle and power (both with a moving bar), then bowl. All with the use of only 2 buttons - the directional key and A.

In a Standard game, you play 1 game only. But in a Tournament, you play
against 4 computer opponents, 3 games in each of the 3 rounds till you reach the finals. To move up to each round, you have to be in 3rd postion or better and to win in the finals, only getting 1st Place counts. If not, you'll be asked to try again.

The Training mode is good if you want to practice your throws and adjust
your line or angles. Once you get it down pat, there is really no need to worry about beating your other opponents. A great feature here is one that enables you to select and remove pins so that you can practice for spares as well.

Verdict The game is nice and relaxing and like a true bowling fanatic, I had to have it!

Graphics are simple and the colors, well, really nothing to brag about. It's just a simple game that's enjoyable only if you're a bowler or a bowling fan.

It's easy to master and getting a perfect game here is a breeze. Even those horrible 7 - 10 splits that you get on real lanes are easy to spare :D
