New Features
Here are a few more tit-bits on the some of the new features in Pokemon Gold & Silver. For those that missed out on our first preview, you can see it again here. Remember to stay tuned to EAGB for a more detailed walk-through soon.
Mini-Games
The slot machine mini-game is almost the same as the one in the previous Pokemon versions. There is, however, a new mini-game which is a card game. The object of the game is to guess if the next consecutive card is higher or lower in value. There are 24 cards in 6 rows and 4 columns. The cards are in values from 1 to 6. Bets are placed and the amount won depends on the odds you've chosen.

Radio Broadcast
The "Radio Broadcast" icon allows you to receive transmissions from various channels. One of the channels to try is the "Lucky Channel". All you have to do is key-in the ID number of a Trainer, and if you are lucky, you will be presented with a special item. Each week, a different trainer will present you with an item, so remember to tune into the "Lucky Channel" regularly.

Real Time
As most of you know, Pokemon Gold and Silver is played in real time, thanks to the built-in time clock which you must set when starting the game. Below are screen-shots showing the game in the morning, afternoon and night. Similarly, different Pokemon appear or can be caught only at certain times of the day.
