Aero Game (Tamagotchi-style simulator)
Reviewed By Ben
Ever wanted to become an airline host or hostess? Well, if you haven't quite reached the
age yet, you can still experience what it's like to be a flight attendant! This unique Tamagotchi-style simulator
allows you to fly to seven different cities throughout the world, while taking care of your passengers and making
sure that things run smoothly on the flight.
Much like a Tamagotchi, the 'Aero Game' (as it's called) first requires you to enter the correct time so that it
can keep track of how long you've been playing. Some flights can take up to six days, and others can be merely
a single day, depending on where you're going. After each flight, your ability to take care of passengers is judged,
and depending on how well (or poorly) you've treated your passengers, you will either be promoted or demoted. Once
you've completed the flights to six different cities, the game is over.
The layout of the screen is much like that of a Tamagotchi or a Digimon, with five icons on both the top and the
bottom of the screen, and an LCD display in the middle. However, the actions that you can do are much different
from that of a Tamagotchi or Digimon. You can server the passengers food or drink, sell items to them from the
duty free airline gift shop (such as a tie, perfume or a watch!), show them movies, fiddle with the lights or tell
them to stop smoking in the toilets, or turn off their mobile phones or laptops. You can even advise passengers
that turbulence is coming and that they should fasten their seat belts!

The Aero Game fits nicely in your hand, and has a key chain so that you can attach
your keys to it if you like. There's a speaker on the back that gives your standard sounds as well as a really
cool takeoff/landing sound! One other feature that makes the Aero Game unique is that if you press the plane's
tail fin, the front of the plane lights up, doubling as a torch!

Where do you find the Aero Game? Well, I got mine on the way back from E3, when
the flight attendants came with the Duty Free goods to purchase. I was flying with Air New Zealand, but I believe
it's available through other airline shops as well. I know that it's only available while you're in the plane,
so be sure to flick through the Duty Free catalog that you usually ignore when you're on your next flight!
