Game cartridges:
The picture above shows how the GBA cartridge is
inserted.
This shows how a GB cartridge is inserted. As you
can see, the GB cartridge is longer and sticks out of
the cartridge slot, so caution is advised to avoid damaging
the cartridge slot.
Because the width of the AGB and GB cartridge is
the same, all AGB cartridges spot an indent (yellow circle
on picture) on the side to tell the AGB what
type of cartridge is inserted.
As most of you might already know, the AGB has two
processors - RISC 32bit and CISC 8 bit. The 32bit RISC
is for AGB software and the 8bit CISC is for GB software.
In this way, the AGB is compatible with nearly all GB
games.
